About my Journey into Collecting Pens
I’m becoming a little bit crazy about collecting pens. I recently got into the studyblr community– a collection of bloggers on Tumblr that post about their stationery, study tips, and habits. At first, this community got me hooked on planners.
How I Organize my Planner
I use the Passion Planner obsessively. (If you want to buy one, make sure to use my email for the referral: email@example.com)
Now, my new obsession is with pens. I used to be a normal ball point pen gal, but I have grown to love gel pens, as well as fine-liners. My collection began with the Staedtler Triplus Fineliners which I bought at Dick Blick’s in San Diego. You can grab them online here.
These were a little bit too inky for me. I have a very heavy hand, and these bled right through the paper for me. Their colors were so beautiful and diverse, though. I still use these pens for scrapbooking and color coding my bullet journal, but when I’m taking notes in class or at home, I always go for my Pilot Juice pens.
Pilot Juice Pens
These pens really force me to be conscious of what I’m writing. They aren’t smooth like the fineliners, but they aren’t rough like some of the Muji gel pens that I’ve tried. They’re a perfect medium. I wouldn’t recommend these for writing in cursive, just because they tend to not be the smoothest pens. If you enjoy the feeling of pens’ indentation in your notebook, you will love these. They come in a huge selection of colors, and you can find these cool pens on Amazon. You can get them in two days with Amazon Prime too!
Some of the colors aren’t very bold, but others like the black, and blues are quite eye-catching. My favorite pens to use are the orange, red (not pictured), and baby pink. My least favorite is the green apple simply because it doesn’t show up as well as the others. I’ll have some samples of the pens below. Sorry, my handwriting isn’t as neat as it could be, I wanted to get this post up quickly!
