“I love this song!”
A short list of songs I loved in 2016. Some of them were released in 2016, and I discovered some of them this year. Hopefully, you’ll find one that you really like to bring you into 2017.
1. Electric Love by BØRNS
While this wasn’t my most listened to song of the year, I did listen to it a lot near the end.
It’s very funky and has a lot of layers to it. It’s the biggest reason why I love BØRNS as an artist now!
2. Somebody Else by The 1975
There’s no possible way I could get away without putting this on my list.
I listened to this one so much! I love the lyrics, the music, just everything about this is great.
3. Girls like Girls by Hayley Kiyoko
I love this song because it really shows a softer side to sapphic love that isn’t normally demonstrated in media.
Also, Hayley Kiyoko rocks. (I just really love Lemonade Mouth, okay!)
4. Guns and Ships from the Hamilton soundtrack
Fun fact: this is the fastest song on Broadway!
I love this track so much; do I even really need to explain more?
5. Blame by Bastille
This was the album release I was most excited for this year, and it did not disappoint!
Bastille brought back this concert classic and released a full-length studio version of Blame, which I was so excited for! I even did a cover of it, if you can find it! 😉
